What is with drivers out there? Did some new driving rule change with the new year? Or am I stuck in stealth mode and they can't see me?
In just the last two months, I've witnessed more drivers run red lights and stop signs. As I approach a busy intersection or a four-way stop, I tend to be cautiously aware of the vehicles around me. Just because the sign states Stop or the light changes red, doesn't mean the person coming the other way is going to abide by the rule. And lately, they aren't.
When I drive, I like to leave a small space between me and the car in front of me. Better to have time to react if they happen to slam on their brakes. But then there's the putz who thinks that tiny space was made available just for them, even though their vehicle is quadruple the size!
No wonder there are so many accidents these days. People are in too much of a hurry, and I get it, I want to get home too, but not at the expense of my life or someone else. People just don't care. They seem to think they are the only ones on the road and the rules don't apply to them.
Am I invisible? Did I forget to turn off the stealth mode button?
